Description:

The enamel represents a suspension of superfine pigments and extenders in polymer solutions in organic solvents, forming a solid non-transparent film after application to the road pavement and solvent evaporation, which complies with the requirements to road marking.

Field of application:

To apply horizontal marking to the motor way and streets traffic area, as well as gas-filling station grounds with improved surface (asphalt, asphalt concrete, cement concrete) used in moderate climate conditions at air temperature from minus 40î Ñ to plus 60î Ñ.

Properties:

The enamel dries quickly (the drying time is 15-30 min), it is highly filled: density – 1.4-1.6 g/cm³, brightness coefficient not less than 80%,  resistant to water and 10% sodium hydroxide solution exposure at 20º Ñ and to the effect of the saturated and 3% sodium chloride solution at 0º Ñ. The enamel is good for both asphalt-concrete and cement concrete road pavement, optimal drying time was chosen, that allows application of road marking in a relatively short time, but at the same time it is enough for penetration of glass beads into the required depth of the surface. Considering brightness coefficient, the enamel surpasses domestically produced equivalents and is at the level of imported enamels, considering the «attrition» parameter, the enamel is close to imported equivalents.

Application method:

The enamel is applied with the help of marking machines or manually with a paint spray gun, brush or roller. The surface of the road should be clean and dry before marking. Painting should be done at air and enamel temperature from 5 °Ñ to 30 °Ñ and relative humidity not more than 75%.

Solvent:

The composition is thinned with R-4 solvent in accordance with GOST 7827 or a mix of acetone in accordance with GOST 2768 and toluene in accordance with GOST 5789 up to application viscosity in 1:1 ratio.
